Part 2: The Wedding Day Paper — Details That Tell Belly & Conrad’s Story (Copy)

If the invitations set the tone, the wedding day paper is where the story really comes alive. For Belly and Conrad’s Summer I Turned Pretty wedding, I knew the paper details needed to feel just as layered with meaning as the suite itself. Every card, every menu, every hand-lettered shell had to whisper a piece of their love story.

Seashell Place Cards

When I imagined guests arriving at Cousins Beach for this wedding, I pictured them greeted by shells glistening on each table—names lovingly hand-lettered across them. 🐚✨ Deirdre of Pencraft + Post brought that vision to life, turning simple seashells into keepsakes. It was coastal, romantic, and so true to Conrad + Belly’s world.

A Menu Made for Two

What’s a wedding without food that tells a story? We couldn’t resist nodding to both of them on the menu:

  • Conrad’s specialty: grilled chicken, of course. 🍗

  • Belly’s favorite: lobster rolls, because no Cousins Beach summer is complete without them. 🦞

Side by side, the entrées felt like the perfect reflection of the couple—his steady, her sweet and a little whimsical. And of course, the menu had to be finished with a scalloped edge (because what’s more coastal-chic than that?).

Dessert, but Make it Nostalgic

The sweetest part of the day? The dessert choices, which were as playful as they were personal:

  • Junior Mint–infused ice cream 🍦

  • Assorted Sour Patch Kids 🍬

Both nods to moments and quirks that TSITP fans know by heart. Because if you know, you know.

Signature Cocktails with a Twist

No wedding is complete without signature drinks, and these had to be as playful and personal as the couple themselves. Enter:

  • The Belly-ni → a peach bellini (because that iconic peach scene will live rent-free in our heads forever). 🍑🥂

  • The Connie Baby → a pomegranate margarita (a nod to the unforgettable “wet hair is so romantic” moment). 🍹✨

These drinks weren’t just cocktails—they were inside jokes, easter eggs, and character tributes that fans like us would immediately recognize.

Why the Day-of Paper Matters

Day-of stationery often gets overlooked, but it’s where guests spend the most time interacting with paper—menus in hand, place cards at their seats, signage guiding them through the day. For Belly and Conrad’s wedding, it wasn’t filler; it was part of the storytelling. Every shell, every menu item, every candy wrapper carried meaning.

It’s a reminder that wedding paper doesn’t stop at the invitation—it follows you through the day, tying every moment together.
