The idea of Reverie Paper Co. started as a daydream to make beautiful, streamlined wedding paper for the modern-day couple.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR + FOUNDER

As friends and family were planning their weddings, Kara began flexing her design skills on save the dates and invitations. She loved it more than her job in advertising. In 2018, Kara Anne & Co. was officially born to serve design needs of both couples and small businesses. Four years later, Reverie Paper Co. was launched in Richmond, VA to focus solely on wedding stationery.

Kara grew up with a collection of sketchbooks filled with drawings. Her favorite class was always art, but didn’t know where it would lead. What she did know is that she wanted to be a Hokie at Virginia Tech. This is where she pursued a degree in Visual Communication Design (and football). Following graduation, she attended The VCU Brandcenter in Richmond, VA to study advertising and art direction. After 5 years of working as an art director, she realized what she was daydreaming about most was starting her own design business.

Kara Anne & Co was founded in 2018 and grew to serve both engaged couples and entrepreneurs. In 2023, Reverie Paper Co. was launched to solely focus on wedding stationery serviing Virginia couples and beyond.

Kara lives in Richmond, VA with her husband, son and two dogs. Aside from stationery, she loves impressing her niece by knowing all the lyrics to Disney songs, DIY home projects and snuggling with her pups.
